On Thursday January 30 1969, the quiet of the studios in Burlington Gardens was shattered by incredibly loud pop music. Outside on the roof of the Beatles' Apple Corps building 3 Saville Row, the Beatles were giving what turned out to be their last live performance. The original was painted in January 1969 at the Royal Academy Schools, London and remains in the possesion of the artist.
